Ivan Tarabokija, Sr., Age 76 of North Bergen, NJ passed away on January 4, 2024. Devoted Husband of Imakolata (nee Tarabokija). Beloved Father of Ivan Tarabokija Jr (Jennifer) and Margaret Stakiwicz (Andrew). Loving Brother of the late Maria Marusic, Nikola and Anton Tarabokija. Dear Brother-in-law of Dino Tarabokija(Mary) and Maria Tarabokija (Anton). Cherished grandfather of Connor and Austin Stakiwicz. Also surviving are nephews, niece and cousins.
Ivan was born in Susak, Croatia, on December 18, 1947 to the late Anton Tarabokija and Felicita (nee Scrivanich) and came to US in 1965. He lived in Hoboken before moving to North Bergen in 1983. Ivan was a retired spray dry operator for Takasago Foods in Tereboro, NJ.
Visiting Hours Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 4 to 8 pm at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Ave, North Bergen, NJ 07047. Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, NJ. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum, Bergenwood Road, Fairview, NJ.
